Product Description

In this game students will round whole numbers to a given place value through the hundred thousands place.

Teacher Directions:

1.Print and cut the game mats, spinner, draw mat, and number cards. Be aware that you can use 10 sided dice instead of the number cards.

2.Laminate or place in sheet protectors so students may write on the Showdown mats with dry erase markers.

3.For the spinner you can have students create one using a paperclip and pencil, a transparent blank spinner (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1QAQYZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), or a 6 sided dice. The spaces on the spinner are numbered 1-6.

Game Directions:

1.Player 1 places a number card on the draw mat.

2.Each player will place the number drawn on one of their 6 blanks on the showdown mat. Choose the space wisely as you will want to create the biggest number.

3.There is no erasing once a digit has been written on one of the spaces on the mat.

4.Repeat steps 1 and 2 five more times until all six spaces have been filled.

5.Spin the spinner and round to the given place value.

6.The player with the largest rounded number wins that round. Place a tally mark in the table located on the ‘Ready Set Draw’ mat underneath the winning player. After 6 rounds the player with the most wins is the overall winner.
