Looking for a fun, engaging way for your students to practice symmetry? Your students will love practicing with these adorable, easy to use task cards. These 32 task cards are aligned to CCSS 4.G.3: Symmetry.
There are 8 task cards for each of the following skills:
•Yes or No? (Is the dotted line a line of symmetry? -or- Does the shape have a line of symmetry?)
•Name It! (How many lines of symmetry? -or- Name the type of symmetry: horizontal, diagonal, vertical)
•Draw It! (Draw the line of symmetry -or- Draw the other half of the symmetrical figure)
**A student recording sheet and answer key are also provided.
These task cards can be used:
•Whole class (use one at a time to promote discussion)
•In math stations (allowing students the opportunity to discuss their answers and reasoning with a partner or group)
•Individually as an assessment
•Review (whole class, individually, or groups to review for standardized testing)
•As game cards (used with any board game)
