This assessment includes a 10-item short answer review and a performance task (constructed response item) covering Math Common Core State Standard 4.G.A.3, symmetry. For numbers 1-5 of the short answer section, students are asked to determine whether or not a given line is a line of symmetry. For numbers 6-10 of the short answer section, students are asked to draw a line of symmetry on provided figures. For the performance task, students are asked to choose the correct line of symmetry and provide a written explanation of their reasoning. They are also asked to determine how many total lines of symmetry exist for the given figure and defend their answer.
