multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations.
There is a total of 10 questions.
Two questions the students are asked to multiply two digit by two digits.
One question requires the student to multiply a four digit by one digit.
Another question asks the student to break use the distributive property to create a new expression.
Question five and six aske the students to draw a 19 x 18 array, and then explain how you can use the array to solve the problem.
Seven and eight ask the student to solve 12 x 16 without using a standard algorithm and give the solution.
Question nine shows an array and ask the students to write the expression, while question 10 is the answer to the expression.
