What educators are saying

The posters were an excellent visual to help the students learn, review and master the geometry standards in 4th grade.

Description

fourth and fifth grade common core geometry set has really fun geometry activities, geometry graphic organizers, and geometry posters for you to use with your students when teaching geometry concepts. I use this with my fifth grade class as a supplement for my geometry unit. It has 5 geometry posters, geometry note sheets (where students fill in the blanks on a few of the items..or you can write them in before making copies), and 2 engaging geometry activities that have them apply critical thinking skills. Great for differentiation, study skills, practice, homework, centers, and whole group. I used these activities and posters in my own geometry unit. Common core 5th grade standards aligned/incorporated.

Included in your Zipped file are:

1.) Angles and lines name activity (1 page) - Students will figure out how much each letter of their name is worth by adding up specific types of lines and angles in their names. Each type of line and angle has a value. Students love this activity, and it is a great assessment tool.

2.)angles and lines terms graphic organizer note sheet (2sheets): this graphic organizer has terms, definitions, examples, and real life examples for students to study. It is not completely filled in, so that students can fill in the pieces that are not..or you can write them in before copying (it is mostly filled in though)

3.) Lines and Angles Posters (4 sheets): This has the same terms, examples, and definitions as the graphic organizer above, but everything is slightly larger and has a cute border and header so that it is now a poster...plus now everything is filled in (no fill in the blanks)

4.) Create a Polygons, Angles, and Lines House (1 sheet): Directions and chart for students to make and record the angles, lines, and polygons on a house that they build: excellent, fun performance assessment.

5.)Polygons Graphic Organizer (1 sheet); partially filled in ( I left a few spaces blank, so students can fill them in on their own..or you can before making copies)

6.) Polygons Poster (1 sheet); same as above, but in a cuter, larger format, and completely filled in..poster for your class! A section for the polygon, sides and angles, regular example and irregular example.

7.) Quadrilaterals Study notes (2 per sheet- 1 sheet)) Students put this handy guide in their notes (paste or staple) as a study tool..great graphic organizer, with the quadrilateral, number of sides and whether they are equal or not, and number of angles and vertices. Completely filled in

8.)quadrilaterals poster- (1 sheet) Same as above but in a larger, cuter format to be a poster for your classroom!

Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.
Classify two-dimensional figures in a hierarchy based on properties.
