My escape rooms are the most fun way to review standards while encouraging team work, critical thinking, and problem solving! In this classroom escape, students will compete as teams to escape Camp Emoji! Best yet, there is nothing to prep! Just share the link and put up the countdown timer!

This team escape challenge allows each student to work individually or as a team, it's up to you! It can be done in the classroom or completely remote and online.

Scenario: Your parents have decided to sign you up for summer camp to keep you busy over the last few weeks of summer. You pack your bags and drive hours to the camp, not sure what to expect. When you arrive, the camp is not at all what you imagined. An emoji greets you at the entrance, Counselor Emoji. She tells your parents that you’ll have a great time. You wave goodbye to your parents. Once all of the kids arrive, Counselor Emoji begins telling you about the camp. She says that you will be put into teams, and you will compete to escape the camp early. The teams that lose will spend two weeks working for her at the camp. Although she seems nice, you don’t really want to spend the last weeks of your summer working for her. Only one team will escape today… will it be yours?

Estimated time for this escape: 60 minutes.

During this game, they will review:

★ Fractions, measurement, geometry, rounding, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

★ Traits/feelings, moral, main idea, details, text features, and supporting evidence

★ Team work & problem solving

Identify major gaps in reading & math!
