What's Included

Christmas season can be a bit hectic and busy! It can also be a great opportunity to engage students in meaningful math tasks that reinforce a rigorous curriculum. This product includes 10 math centers that are great for reinforcing math concepts taught in the first half of the school year.

These activities were designed to be used as centers that can be organized with file folders or any basic container or storage device. I like to attach each center activity title page to the outside of a file folder and attach the center’s directions on the inside of the file folder and laminate the folder. The only prep needed is to print the task cards and/or recording sheets, laminate, and place the cards inside the corresponding file folder, and you’re ready!

-Christmas Shopping-solve word problems with all 4 operations

-What's in the Package-solve multiplication problems with a missing factor, problems are large multiples of 100, 1,000, and 10,000.

-Christmas Graphing-Students interpret six different graphs. The graphs include line plots, bar graphs, and picture graphs.

-Where is Santa's Bag?-Students play a game similar to the game Clue where they determine who took Santa's bag, where they hid it, and what was in the bag.

-Christmas Candy-students solve multi-step word problems using the value of Christmas candy

-Gingerbread Multiplication and Division: partial product, area model, and distributive property (4-digit by 1-digit and 2-digit by 2-digit)

-Frosty Factors and Multiples-students solve basic factor and multiple problems.

-Christmas Symma-tree-Students have a selection of various holiday themed pictures shown on grid paper. They must use the grid paper to complete a symmetrical drawing of the image.

-Christmas Budget-Students use toy catalogs to help with their Christmas shopping. Students solve real world math problems.

-Christmas Algebra Pictures-Students solve balanced equations using pictorial representations of numbers.
