Suggestions for how to use this unit:
I break the PowerPoint into 5 days, beginning with "Lines and Angles," then "Types of Shapes," then "Triangles," then "Quadrilaterals," and finally "Polygons." Each day, students add a bit more to their geometry booklet as a way of taking notes on what was learned in the PowerPoint. On the first day, after the "Lines and Angles" segment of the PowerPoint, students play Lines and Angles Concentration. After completing the entire PowerPoint, students create a geometry bingo board.. We play geometry bingo periodically throughout the remainder of the geometry unit as a way to review the names of lines, angles, and shapes. At first, I let students use their geometry booklets to help them. Later, they play bingo without their booklets.
