    Description

The 4th Graded Guided Math Graphing Curriculum is organized into 2 separate Mini-Units.

Save 30% when you purchase Unit 6. If you purchase individually, this unit has a value of $18.

    ABOUT UNIT 6: Measurement

    • Mini-Unit 1 uses whole numbers to introduce important line plot details like range and intervals. Instruction then moves to working with fraction intervals. Lesson 3 provides pre-made line plots for students to answer questions that require they interpret data correctly.

    • Mini-Unit 2 is the TEKS-specific add on, which includes working with decimals, stem & leaf plots, and data displays with frequency classes, namely frequency tables and histograms. Because of this added material, this unit is particularly well-suited for 5th and 6th grade Common Core review and intervention.

Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Solve problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions by using information presented in line plots. For example, from a line plot find and interpret the difference in length between the longest and shortest specimens in an insect collection.
