This is the first multiplication and division unit in the 4th grade guided math series for the year. The units can be taught in any order. They can be purchased separately or in a full year bundle.
The lessons focus on fourth grade multiplication and division through models and algorithms. Students learn how to identify multiplication and division base 10, area, and array models. This unit also focuses on solving multi-digit multiplication and division problems through partial product and standard algorithm. There are several hands on activities tied to the lessons as well as rigorous problems to prepare students for problem solving.
