Knowing exactly which literature skills each student in your classroom needs to learn, is the key to providing the best reading instruction possible. This resource has been created to help you make decisions based on real data that reflects what your students do, and do not know about the 9 literature standards in the fourth grade curriculum. This will allow teachers to place students in guided reading groups that will provide the instruction best suited to each student.
This resource is also useful for third graders reading above grade level, and fifth graders reading a year below grade level.
This resource is divided into three sections:
1. Teacher Notes
2. Documentation forms to help you track student progress in all literature standards in the curriculum
3. Tests, addressing each standard in the literature strand. Two tests are provided for each standard.
This resource includes:
Table of Contents
Guided Reading Template
Individual Literature Documentation Form
Classroom Literature Forms
Literature Tests (two for each standard)
