In my district, rubrics are a must in every classroom. However, I realized that asking my students to rate themselves on a 1-4 scale on a standard they barely understood was not very helpful to them OR me. So I broke down each standard into the various learning goals that are easier to understand for my students.
Included: Florida State Reading Literature standards, rubrics worksheet with standards-based learning goals, and vocabulary sheet to help teachers direct their students understanding of what they need to learn and assess their progress throughout the unit.
