These 14 math centers are designed to allow students to work alone or in small groups. Each center includes an instruction page and masters for required materials. Each center also has a written component to allow teachers to assess progress. The centers address fourth grade standards in numerical relationships and computation, algebra, measurement, and financial literacy. Activities include using place value concepts to decompose numbers, ordering numbers on a number line, distinguishing between fixed and variable expenses, using strip diagrams to solve problems, creating and interpreting dot plots, bar graphs, and stem-and-leaf plots, measuring to find perimeter, length, and mass, and using algebraic expressions to solve multi-step problems.
