This 4th grade math student data binder houses all of the 4th grade math standards. Students are given the binder at the beginning of the year and are asked to track their learning all throughout - using formative and summative assessments. The document can be placed into a three-ring binder. Students can take their binders home on the weekends and show their parents what they have been working on in school. Families can use the binders for goal setting discussions, while also celebrating once goals have been met. By utilizing the binder, students begin to take ownership of their own learning as they are creating their own learning path.
The data binder contains a quick piece of information regarding standards vs. power standards, while also housing. It also has an explanation of the proficiency scale and how work is graded.
Students and families LOVE their math data binders!
