Aligned with the Common Core Standards and the STARR Test in Texas, these math games are a fun way to provide practice for your students and/or pair up strong students with ones who may struggle to allow for peer tutoring.
The first game is a scavenger hunt where students work through problems to find the location of their next clue. Clues are strategically placed around the playground, gym, or other location and teams of students begin with different clues to work through the hunt in different orders of questions. This file is provided as a pdf where materials for the game can be printed to organize and student sheets can be printed to use during the game.
The second game is an animated PowerPoint where students answer a different set of challenges (questions are parallel but different from those used in the scavenger hunt) as they strive to "Fill the Math Cylinder". Each correct answer gains another filled portion of the cylinder while each incorrect answer advances them to a new challenge.
Upon purchase, files will be in a zipped folder where all contents must first be extracted. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact me at Shari.Beck25@gmail.com.
