This bundle of PowerPoint presentations is closely aligned to every lesson in Units 2 through 6 of the 4th grade Michigan Citizenship Curriculum (MC3). Each lesson has its own PowerPoint presentation and goes step by step through the lesson plan. This comes out to over 600 slides! This bundle includes the following products (a $19 value):
The slides include the necessary supplemental material diagrams, information, key vocabulary, etc. so that they can easily be shown to students, along with other visuals that may be helpful to illustrate the concept. Additionally, whenever possible, there are links to YouTube videos for read alouds. ALL WEBSITES/ONLINE RESOURCES HAVE BEEN UPDATED SO THAT THEY ARE ACTIVE AND USABLE (as of October 2018).
For activities that students need to complete, the answer keys are provided that allow you to click and have one answer at a time appear. Furthermore, the notes section includes the key teaching points for that part of the lesson. This is in a PowerPoint format which will allow you to make any customizations you want and can easily be uploaded to Google Slides if you do not have Microsoft Office on your computer.
This is a must for any teacher navigating this curriculum!
What is the Michigan Citizenship Curriculum (MC3)?
MC3 stands for College, Career, and Civic Life. This is an open curriculum (= free) that was created by several ISDs and RESAs to go along with the social studies content expectations. It covers a range of concepts associated with civics, economics, geography, and history. You can access it from Oakland Schools Rubicon Atlas.
Why not Unit 1?
Unit 1 PowerPoints were already created by the authors of the curriculum and are available for each lesson in the Unit on the Oakland Schools Rubicon Atlas page.
