Ahoy Maties! Use pirates to give your students fun word problem practice! This set of 40 task cards uses pirate word problems with engaging pictures to make practice fun. Since games are an excellent way to help students internalize math, a word problem math game is also provided.
Some problems include extra information, which allows students the opportunity to decide which information is actually needed to solve the problem.
Problems are designed to use both numbers and number words, with some problems using a combination of both. This allows students the opportunity to practice finding information needed to solve the problem, whether that information is in number form or word form.
Answer sheets are given in ten problem sets, with room for students to compute the answer. This allows teachers the opportunity to find misconceptions more easily.
