This is a set of rubrics for Narrative and Expository writing. They were designed using the Texas STAAR 4th Grade Writing Rubrics put out by TEA.
Tired of looking through several pages of text? Then this is for you! I've compiled all of the information to one page of text, separated into each of the 8 sections in which they are assessed.
I have included a teacher rubric and student rubric for both, as well as a quick scoring rubric to attach to a piece of writing, for a total of 5 pages. There are 2 scoring rubrics on one page, making it easier for students to look at...and it saves paper!
You can fill out any of the rubrics and attach them to students' writing so that they can see what they had in their paper, as well as what they need to include in order to "upgrade" their paper.
