Product Description
Dear Teacher,

This product includes 14 task cards that are differentiated for higher and lower learners. Each task card includes 1-3 test prep questions with additional exercises to ensure student receive a deeper understanding of each skill. (There are 25 test prep questions altogether.) This item also includes a 25 question test. (These questions are the same as the ones on the task cards, but I have included an editable test if you wish to change the questions.) I have also included a PowerPoint version of these task cards and test.
Skills included on the task cards are 4.NBT.1, 4.NBT.5, 4.NBT.6, 4.OA.4, 4.MD.3, 4.OA.3, and 4.OA.5. (This resource mainly focuses on multi-step problems and patterns and sequences.)
Prerequisites for this resource are knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
This item may be used as a center, group work, remediation, enrichment, bell work, homework, extra credit, early finishers, mini-lessons, etc.

Here are some other ways you may use these cards:

-Bell Work or Morning Work: Project the PowerPoint version of these task cards on the board as students come to class. Have them complete exercises and activities on a piece of notebook paper.
-Homework: Make enough copies of each Task Card for each of your students. Give each child either one a night to complete or one a week to complete. You could also give the test that is included as a -Pre-Test, and give students the questions that they missed on the --Pre-Test as homework.
-Remediation or Enrichment: If a student in a higher grade is struggling with these skills, use these task cards as tools to help guide your intervention. Also, if you teach a lower grade and you have students that need more higher order thinking activities, use these.
-Extra Credit: Keep these in a folder and tell students that you will give them so many points for each card they complete.
-Early Finishers: Place these cards where you keep work for your early finishers.
-Mini-Lessons: Project one of the Task Cards from the PowerPoint version and spend 15-20 minutes teaching this skill.
