In this 5-E learning cycle lesson, the students learn about photosynthesis and the needs of plants by experimentation. Students work in groups, and each group experiements with how something different affects photosynthesis: water, sunlight, and air. The plants grow for about three weeks while the students record observations and the class discusses and learns about what is happening. Then, the students create presentations to show what they have learned and present them to the class. It includes a data sheet for students to record their question, hypothesis, experiement, observations and data, analysis, and conclusion. It also includes a rubric.
