Need great visuals for your rhythm unit? This is it! This resource is designed as a visual aid supplement for my 4th grade rhythm unit, found in "4th grade music curriculum." 76 power point slides offer clear, uncluttered, easy to read rhythm patterns to visually present the material I have traditionally taught by imitation. This rhythm resource is presented in three to four separate lessons. Each part contains an overview of the rhythm tree including rests and the rhythmic material which we use for body percussion copying and orff improvisations for that day. Each section presents individual rhythmic slides with Kodaly labeling and then groups rhythms into two measure and then four measure patterns. The PDF secures the music notation on the ppt so it will read on your computer. The last section includes traditional counting methodology. This is a simple visual aid for use with a certified and highly trained music specialist. There is no teaching/explanation included- just simple notation visuals. In this unit we start with simple beamed eighths and progress to combined sixteenths. There are no dotted rhythms or ties included.
Thanks for considering this resource! Your feedback is always appreciated!
