To use these cards, print them for guided math or import them into a flipchart for whole group practice.
These cards are structured to practice the specific SOL standards identified by the Virginia Department of Education as challenging for students The standards are listed below. The questions on the cards are directly related those standards as directed by the VDOE. They main standard is also noted at the bottom of each card for identification.
Pages 4-12 are pages to plan out the lesson with a specific numbers and shapes if you want to write the questions with numbers and shapes used and then answers. This is great if you want to keep it to use year after year.
A few of them are lengthy or require more detail or pictures, so I tried to make them bigger…plus I have big, sloppy handwriting, so I need the space.
The rest of the pages are landscape with the question. I used the pasted them on color coded 12x6 scrapbooking card stock. Since they are in PDF, they could also be imported into a flipchart for whole class use.
For some of the questions, I may include a couple variations on the same question. It may differ based on place value, least to greatest or greatest to least, fractions used, etc.
A short introduction on how to use the cards.
