Are you looking for a set of review cards that reviews ALL 4th grade science SOL's? You've come to the right place! This download includes 4 complete sets of 90 cards that cover Science SOL's 4.1 thru 4.9:
1. Question/Answer Set: The cards have both the question and answer on the same side. These are great for using with board games in the classroom, Around the World class games, or for trivia contests.
2. Question ONLY Set: These cards have just the question - this would be great for games of SCOOT or hallway task card review. Since there are 90 in the set, you could split this into smaller, more manageable groups of cards. I use hallway task card review for this and post all 90 in the hallway; however, I'll assign certain ranges of cards for them to complete on different days.
3. Question w/ QR Code answer for Self-Checking: This set of the same 90 cards shows the question and a QR code on each card. If your students have access to a SMARTphone or iPad, they can scan the code to check their answers. This would be great for hallway task card review, as well.
4. QR Code ONLY: This set shows just the question number and QR Code on each card - students scan the code to access the question.
For all sets, recording sheets and answer keys are provided.
The cards cover all 4th grade science SOL's and would be great for 4th grade teachers to use at the end of the year or for 5th grade teachers anytime to keep up the essential knowledge leading up the big SOL test. (I use mine with board games at the end of each 5th grade unit to review, and then with Trivia Contests in the weeks leading up to the SOL Test.) You could also print a set for struggling students to use at home with board games.
As a 5th grade teacher, I use the question only or QR code sets as task cards in the hallway FIRST. Once we have gone over all of the answers together, then I have the kids get into groups and use the Question/answer cards with board games. Finally, on the day before the SOL test, we have "Battle Day" - I put students randomly into groups of 4 or 5 and quickly quiz them (round robin style) to see how many cards they get correct within 10 minutes. Winning team earns a prize! So fun!
**I recommend you print the pages 2-sided on light colored card stock and then laminate / cut apart, for long-lasting cards.
