The Learning League casually turn on the TV, and what do they see? A commercial featuring a college owned by the History Hacker. He’s claiming that his college is the oldest in America...but that doesn’t sound right. Which college was the first in America? It’s up to you and the League to solve the mystery by answering reading questions and finding that college. This Reading Adventure will keep your classroom explorers engaged and working hard on reading skills, while learning some history!

Three tracks for this activity:
1. Use mystery booklet and QR codes to access Google Slides in order to get to reading problems.
OR 2. Print task cards with reading problems.

This activity is low prep (just print booklets for each student, 5 posters, and 5 QR codes), and it takes the speediest students about 45 minutes to finish. The average student takes about 60-90 minutes to complete.
