Product Description
4th grade Social Studies Task Cards with ▚ QR codes ▞ BUNDLE! Includes 12 Social Studies task card sets with self-checking QR codes! These 4th grade task cards are perfect for creating low prep BYOD & iPad centers for Social Studies for the year and again for the end of year Common Core Assessments or GA Milestones test prep. For each of the QR code activities, students read a "What Am I?" clue and determine the Social Studies vocabulary word being described. (A word bank is included on the student response sheet.) Students may then self-check their answers using any free QR code reader. They LOVE this part! By scanning the QR code, students are taken to a labeled photo related to the Social Studies term. Excellent support for visual learners, ELLs, and students with special needs!

The standardized format of these Social Studies task cards with QR codes allows students to focus on the content, rather than figuring out how to accomplish a new type of activity. The “What Am I?” structure allows students to practice making inferences while they learn new Social Studies content vocabulary and concepts in a fun format that feels like a game. Finally, the QR code structure allows you to easily integrate technology into your weekly lesson plans with no hassle or extra prep!

Social Studies topics for the year included:

All of these products are part of my huge
Weekly QR Code Centers for the YEAR Bundle with 36+ activities for all subjects.

Perfectly tied to the 4th Grade Georgia Performance Standards for Social Studies, but definitely comprehensive enough to fit other states' and grades' standards.

***Please NOTE:*** These 4th grade task cards use QR codes to link to photos in Dropbox. Please download my FREE QR Code Activity to test that the QR codes open on your school device (and on school wifi) before purchasing this product. If one of the freebie's QR codes works, they will all work.
I value your time!***

Activities are nearly HALF PRICE with this bundle! ($3.00 each when purchased individually).

Question: How do I add this to my already FULL schedule?
Answer: Weekly ELA Centers!

Since all of these centers require students to read carefully and make inferences, they make wonderful cross content ELA centers for students to practice close reading and inferring while reading about 4th grade Social Studies topics! Plus, the consistent format means you won't have to explain how to do a new center every week!

These Social Studies task cards easily integrate technology and make engaging, nearly no prep, technology centers for:
-iPad Classrooms (Both 1 to 1 iPad Classrooms, and single iPad classrooms)
-BYOT or BYOD Classrooms with students’ wide variety of iPads, iPhones, tablets, etc.
-Classrooms with just a couple old Smartphones (Android or iPhone)…like my classroom! :)

To easily download a FREE QR Code Reader from the App Store (for iPhones & iPads) or Google Play (for Android phones and tablets), just search the phrase, “QR Code Reader” and choose the QR scanner you’d like. I personally use “QR Code Reader” on my Android and “QR Reader” on my iPad & iPhone. Both apps work well for me, but any free QR scanner will work!
