Writing......Oh, my! As a K-5 teacher for decades, teaching writing has always been tricky….or rather frustrating. The key that has been missing was an easy, yet effective plan for students to organize their thoughts and write with purpose! When my son started doing "five-paragraph-essays" in high school, the light bulb came on. The precise plan and organization was what my students and I needed.
I designed various “rough draft” templates for the four types of writing to be a road map/foundation to make the “rough draft” process more understandable for elementary students. No longer will students sit staring at their papers wondering “how” to get started or “what” to do next.
This product is for Fourth Grade. Each template is aligned with Journeys (2014 Edition) Lessons 1-30. The week’s writing focus, grammar skill and steps for writing are included on each template. Extra primary and intermediate templates are included as well.
If you don't use Journeys, be on the lookout for my product with the primary and intermediate templates. All you have to do is add your own writing prompt/goal and grammar skill for each week.
