This is a game I made for my Math Centers. My students LOVE this activity! Making Monsters is going to be a series of games that I plan on making. Each using a different looking monster. I plan on making more addition with larger numbers; some subtraction and multiplication ones as well.As soon as I finish them I will upload them! Stay tuned!!! :)
In a nutshell - the game is played between two to four students (It can also work as an independent activity or team play.) The students take turns solving addition problems, with one student solving and the other checking from the answer sheet. If the student solves it correctly, he/she gets to spin and find out what part of the Monster they get to draw on their player board. The spin board has a cute little Monster split apart completely, so the students get to slowly piece together their drawing to reveal their very own monster! The student who finishes drawing their monster first is the winner! OH - and if/when the spinner lands on a piece that they have already drawn, they do not get to keep spinning until they get something they don't have! They just have to lose that turn and let the other player go. :)
