5 Finger Retelling is a great strategy for students to express what they comprehend from a story. The 5 Finger retelling method allows the student to explain the main characters, setting, problem, sequence of events, and ending in a particular story using their fingers as a textile reference or map.
This set of posters allows you and your students to reference the 5 Finger Retelling strategy, and breaks each component into an easy to follow format. The characters on each finger aids in helping your students remember each component!
As a BONUS, I’ve included FINGER PUPPETS (YAY!!!) to copy for ALL your students!! These finger puppets match each component on the poster set and would be great to use for small or whole group instruction.
