Animated Step-by-Steps are animated PowerPoints designed to address literacy, language, AAC and a host of academic goals. Each page includes a series of animations. Read the text up to the star … click … and see an animation of what you just read.
There are 3 versions of this resource. This is the SymbolStix version (n2y).
Five Green and Speckled Frogs is an Animated Step-by-Step counting song that works on cardinal numbers/counting 1 through 5. It can also be used to work on subtraction.
¬¬(number) green and speckled frogs
Sitting on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious bugs … yum yum
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Now there are (number) green speckled frogs … oh yah
This resource is a great segue for the Animated Step-by-Step Poem, 5 Little Tadpoles, that ends with the line “They’ll jump from the water and sit on some logs”.
This PowerPoint show file can be presented in a large group format on the ‘large screen’ (interactive whiteboard) or can be displayed during small group/individual therapy on the ‘small screen’ (iPad) using the free Microsoft PowerPoint app. It is also possible to project the iPad screen on your large screen TV.
Great for both regular and special education. Have fun using this resource!
If you have purchased a symbol-supported version, the symbols will appear AFTER all the animations for a page have been triggered. If you are working with students who are cognitively young you may wish to have the symbols appear upfront (i.e., when the page opens) to allow you to ‘read’ the page using the symbols. Please visit the Animated Step-by-Steps™ blog for information on how to transform your file to present the symbols upfront when the page opens (http://bit.ly/1imbZ7U).
