When I make things a little crafty to grab my students' attention, the light bulbs go on as they are happily engaged.
With that in mind, I designed these Life Cycle of the Frog
"turn to learn" wheels, which are a super-fun "print & go" activity that will help children remember the various stages of the frog's life cycle
They come in full color
so you can explain the science, then use as an independent center
There are also patterns in black and white
, so that students can make one, as well as a blank template if you want your students to draw their own stages.
I went a bit crazy buying “Life Cycle Of A Frog” clip art, so there are 5 different life cycle wheels
This will provide a nice variety
from cutesy to realistic,
so that you can diversify
As a whole-group
activity, you can give students a choice
of which one they’d like to color, cut and make.
To reinforce the science vocabulary,
have older students label each phase
of the life cycle.
To test comprehension
and use that vocabulary, have children write out the life cycle on the “Here’s What Happened” worksheet
I’ve included a detailed, completed sample
, so that you can share whatever information is appropriate for your kiddos.
I'm Diane from Teach With Me, hoping your students enjoy making life cycle wheels as much as mine do.
