This is the SymbolStix version of this title.
5 Little Tadpoles is an animated science poem that highlights the life cycle of the frog and works on ordinal numbers (first through fifth). The metamorphosis of the tadpole is highlighted throughout the pages of this resource (tadpole, tadpole with back legs, tadpole with back and front legs + tail, no tail, jumping frog)
Five little tadpoles swimming by the shore
The first one said, “Let’s swim some more.”
The second one said, “ Let’s rest awhile.”
The third one said, “Swimming makes me smile.”
The fourth one said, “My legs are growing long.”
The fifth one said, “ I’m getting very strong.”
Five little tadpoles soon will be frogs.
They’ll jump from the water
And sit on some logs.
This PowerPoint show file can be presented in a large group format on the ‘large screen’ (interactive whiteboard) or can be displayed during small group/individual therapy on the ‘small screen’ (iPad) using the free Microsoft PowerPoint app. It is also possible to project the iPad screen on your large screen TV using Apple TV.
If you have purchased a symbol-supported version, the symbols will appear AFTER all the animations for a page have been triggered. If you are working with students who are cognitively young you may wish to have the symbols appear upfront (i.e., when the page opens) to allow you to ‘read’ the page using the symbols. Please visit the Animated Step-by-Steps™ blog for information on how to transform your file to present the symbols upfront when the page opens (http://bit.ly/1imbZ7U).
Great for both regular and special education. Have fun using this resource!
