This file includes 5 Mini-Books. There are no pictures, only words. This is meant to give the child practice with sounding out words and not guessing based on the pictures. They are short, phonetic, 2 and 3 letter words. The child feels accomplishment by turning the page after reading one word. My students were so excited to finish their work so they could read one of these Mini-Books to a friend or teacher. Add a cover by cutting out a brightly colored construction paper the size of the pages. Cut out the pages, laminate everything, and punch a single hole through the left side of all the pages. Tie a circle of yarn through the holes in the pages or put a key chain through the holes to hold it together. Your kids will love these books!
