Product Description
Come get this 42 page discounted offer of 5 sets of Disney movie guides. The pack includes the following movie comprehension questions + extras:
1. Disney's Moana ($4.00)

This includes:
• Listening comprehension to the song "How Far I'll Go" with answers
• 25 comprehension questions in chronological order with answers.
• Drawing and writing about 4 characters.
• Creative writing.
• Role-play
• fun puzzles and dot to dot colouring.

It is aimed at the younger audience and normally I would act the scene out to give clues and help. It's great fun with kids after watching the movie. Includes answer sheet.

Listening comprehension. During the movie Moana will start singing "How Far I'll Go". While listening the students will need to do the following things with the lyrics page:
• underlining errors in the lines
• moving words to their correct place
• Putting lines in the correct order
• Completing lines
• Connecting antonyms

After the movie has finished the students go through 25 comprehension questions. The teacher can act out scenes to help.

Understanding four of the main characters and their personality traits. This can be done in teams of four if too much for one student. They need to:
• Draw Maui, Moana, Te-Fiti and Tamatoa.
• Choose personality traits from the word bank for one of the questions (Includes definitions of each word for the teacher to use as clues if the student doesn't know the word)
• Answer additional 3 questions about the character.

On the creative writing page the students need to write a story similar to Moana. Question prompts have been included to help them add content to the story.
• Using their stories and in pairs, students to create a role-play.

There's always a few students who finish the tasks before everyone else so I've created 2 new pages with some puzzles I made that are just for fun. Includes answers for the word search and cryptic puzzle
• Moana word search
• Cryptic puzzle
• Moana dot to dot and colouring

This movie is about a sea voyaging enthusiast named Moana who needs to persuade Maui to return Te-Fiti's heart. So Moana sets off on an epic journey across the Pacific. The film is based on stories from Polynesian mythology.
2. Disney's A Bug's Life ($3.00)

The students will get into teams of three and will have explained to them that they’re going to watch an animation called A Bug’s life, which will have a lot of different insects in.

• While watching the movie the team members need to write down all the insects they see in their books and find the correct insect for the circus performers. At the end of the movie, they then transfer into the worksheet together.

• To help with the questions later they also need to make sure they know the 16 words in the list. If they don’t, then they circle it and look for the word in the dictionary. The teacher then goes through all the words together as a class.

• In the next section the team members draw a small insect in each box.

• The team members then complete the 23 comprehension questions working together. These are a combination of multiple choice and full sentence answers.

• The team first put some character names back in order then find them in the word search.
• Followed by colouring the picture. Each team member can only use 2 colours, so they take it in turns colouring appropriately.

This movie is about an ant named Flik who accidentally loses the colony's food storage and goes looking for helpers to save them from greedy grasshoppers. He recruits a group of bugs that turn out to be inept circus performers.
3. Disney's Pocahontas ($3.50)

This has 3 parts. Part 1 is the comprehension questions in chronological order. Part 2 is all about creativity and creative writing. Part 3 is for the early finishers, a word search.

PART 1 - These are the comprehension questions for the movie. I have made three sets of questions depending on the grade teaching. (Includes the answers)

• 50 questions requiring answers in sentences
• 25 questions requiring answers in sentences (25 questions removed from the 50 question sheet)
• 25 multiple choice questions

PART 2 – Creativity (Students imagine they are a member of the governor’s party that landed in the New World)

• Students need to draw a map of an island they landed on in the New World. They have to include a key of the important places they draw on the map.
• Students to write a detailed description of at least 5 places mentioned in their map key.
• One page of drawing and describing a native.

Part 3 – Just for fun
• 1 page with a Pocahontas word search (includes answers)

This movie is about Pocahontas, a film inspired by the known history and folklore surrounding Pocahontas and her encounter with the English, especially a man named John Smith.
4. Disney's Zootopia ($3.00)

The first part of this worksheet includes tasks to do during the movie:

•The students have space to write down any animals they see and notes to help with the questions.
• Matching main characters with their corresponding animal and the connection between their name and animal type.
• One questions about their favourite character and why (when the movie finishes)

This has 32 comprehension questions in chronological order which require full sentence answers. As always, it's a good idea to get the students to write notes to make it easier to answer the questions.

A little bunny named Judy Hops leaves her family to pursue her dreams as the first bunny cop in Zootopia. Determined to prove herself, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case. Unfortunately, that means working with Nick Wilde, a wily fox who makes her job even harder.
5. Disney's The Lion King. ($2.50)

The first part of this worksheet includes pre-watching tasks:
• Drawing a lion and a king
• Describing their drawings using adjectives
• The teacher asks some questions about where lions are from and what other animals can be found there. (writes on the board)
• While watching the movie, the students have space to write down any animals they see and any words they don't understand.

Followed by 10 comprehension questions to be completed after the movie. Includes describing their favourite character and why. If you want to make it more difficult just remove the multiple choice answers; They can write full sentences instead ☺

This movie is about a young lion named Simba who is betrayed by his Uncle Scar. Simba escapes from the wildebeest stampede and returns as an adult to take back his homeland from Scar.

How can movies help students learn English?

Learning from movies is motivating and enjoyable
- Sometimes students need a change in style, and movies are generally an integral
part of a student's life.

Movies provides authentic and varied language
- It's always a good idea to introduce students examples of English in real
situations. This includes accents different to your own.

Movies gives a visual context
- This gives the student the ability to interpret the language in full visual context.
To see such visual supports as facial expressions and gestures simultaneously.

Variety and flexibility
- Movies can also act as a springboard for follow-up tasks such as discussions,
debates on social issues, role plays, reconstructing a dialogue or summarising.
