Complete 2-3 day unit with lesson plan, student worksheet, and three differentiated assessments. Students build observation and comparison skills while learning about plants. Vocabulary words- observe, compare, stem, leaf, roots. This unit gives students the opportunity to explore parts of real plants without a science text book. Day 1- Students learn how to make important scientific observations and compare features of different plants, building on their knowledge of the different parts and their basic functions. Day 2- Students learn to pick out words or phrases in definitions that help them determine the correct word. Day 3- Students complete differentiated assessments based on learning needs in which they are required to show that they have learned the definition of the vocabulary.
