-What is it?-
A double sided lanyard card. One side has a colourful, portable 5 Point Scale and the other side has a few useful coping techniques for feeling calm. Plus a handy little reminder to have a restorative talk once the student has deescalated!
There are 4 cards to each A4 page. Just print, cut out, fold along the middle line, laminate and hole punch!
-How can it be used?-
I keep this on my lanyard along with my school ID badge to act as a constant reminder to myself and my students to use the 5 Point Scale to help manage and regulate difficult feelings that may appear throughout the day.
-What is the 5 point scale?-
The 5 point scale is a great way to non-verbally communicate how someone is feeling. It is clear, colourful and simple, which makes it easy to use and remember during situations that cause stress, anxiety or anger!
