Columbus Day is celebrated the second Monday of October. Use these STEM challenges to help students learn the controversial story of Christopher Columbus. These activities position your students as researchers and investigators. Through these challenges they will learn about the Columbus' journey while considering the long lasting consequences of his journey. These challenges are FUN while maintaining high expectation, collaboration, group work, and creativity. They also serve as great formative assessment. Recommended for grades 4-8.
