Do you want to engage your dual language students and improve the retention of their Spanish vocabulary? Use these cards during the lesson on Taste. If you do a taste test, prop these cards up in front of items such as chocolate, saltine crackers, lemon wedges, pickle slices, and some spicy Cheetos. Have them say the word that describes the texture as they accept the sample from you. Their mouths will water and their brains will learn the words after you trigger some emotions of anticipation and excitement! Then your bilingual pairs can use them in a science bilingual learning center and do a memory match game, or draw the item and label it with it's descriptive word in their interactive science journals. It's a great addition to your enrichment program!
