Teach your students with this 5 Senses Unit!
5 Senses Activities - Sight, Hear, Smell, Taste, and Touch
Reading Passages telling about Each Sense
Students will have be able to read passages about each of the "5 senses". They will write about the sense with different prompts provided. Math (Graphing) activities are included for the See and Taste senses.
Inquiry - (Discovery) activities are included for each of the 5 Senses.
Sight - PUPIL - How do your eyes change in light and darkness?
Smell - Blindfolded Smelling test
Taste - Tasting activity - Which flavor did you like best? Salty, sweet, sour, bitter
Hear - Listening Walk - Draw and Write
Touch - Texture Hand - Finding things that are Soft, smooth, rough, bumpy, and sticky
Sense Detective - Salt or Sugar? Which is which? Teachers provide their class with 2 jars. Students will use their 5 senses, and be "Sense Detectives" to determine which jar is the salt and which is the sugar. Senses are used in a certain order to make sure the students don't figure out which is which too soon!
