♫ Dual Purpose Warm-up: Ooh and Ah Modified Vowels
GREAT FOR BUILDING VOLUME AND POWER.
♫ Use as a choral warm-up or private voice student warm-up.
♪ 1st time through: 5 tone descending on "Oo." Use vibrato on the first and last note. Crescendo on the first note. Use a "hooty" Oo. Focus is on the first pitch to develop strength and volume.
♪ 2nd time through on repeat: sustain a long pitch oh a tall, relaxed "Ah." Listen to your vibrato. Relax the tongue and jaw. Focus is to work on developing a consistent, free vibrato.
[Starts on middle line Bb, goes up to G above the staff, then descends back to the Bb. Repeats]
♪ This Warm-up is specifically designed to build strength and volume in your singers. Many middle school singers are afraid to find their "forte." This one is great for doing that.
Total warm-up is 2:08.
