I use these magnets all day, everyday in my classroom. I have 5 sets that stay on my whiteboard, however, depending on the activity I am able to transfer them to individual whiteboards that I give the students to use when working independently or cooperatively with another student. When students are writing at their desks I am able to set the magnets in front of them to help them remember proper sentence structure.
My students and I use these magnets to build vocabulary, build basic sentences, categorize parts of speech, expand simple sentence structure to include more detail, identify parts of sentences in reading passages for better comprehension, and the list goes on.
I have found that the consistency and repetition when using these magnets during my reading and language arts lessons has helped improve my students receptive and expressive abilities tremendously. These magnets may not seem like a big deal, but have become my go-to visual throughout the day. I hope someone else will find them as useful as I do!
This is a set of 5 magnets with the words WHO, DO WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, and WHAT printed on them. Each magnet is 5 inches in length and 2 inches in height. Each WH magnet is made in its own unique bright color to easily separate each category of words.
