This is a fun way to learn about sentence structure, punctuation, and capitalization. Students must unscramble the words in each sentence by looking at which words are capitalized, which words have punctuation at the end, and generally if the sentence makes sense.
I have used this with my students both in a pocket folder, and as a morning meeting activity with students working in pairs to unscramble their sentences on the rug. There are so many possibilities of activities that can be done with these!
Included in this download are 50 different sentences that can easily be divided into groups of 5, 10, or more based on the color and pattern of the border around each word. Also included are two recording sheets, each with 5 spaces for recording the unscrambled sentences.
