Product Description
This is my favorite item in my room! It is like adding another teacher to your room!

Items needed are a device with a QR code scanner app (many are free) that is connected to the internet. Please try the freebie version before you buy this product. Lesson is in a quicktime format. Your students will scan the QR code and receive a mini lesson on the sight word they have scanned. Videos average 15 seconds / word. Words are from Fountas and Pinnell’s high frequency word list/assessment.

This packet can be used in many ways:
It can be used as self-correcting flash cards.
It can be used as an aide to assist with writing.
It can be used as an interactive word wall.

My students inspired this packet. These students would ask for a sight word, which was on my word wall. I would respond with “what letter do you hear at the beginning”. They would tell me and then proceed to ask me which b word is it? This packet created a way for students to check themselves as the real problem wasn’t they didn’t have an idea which word it was. The real problem was they didn’t want to be wrong. It also helped them be less needy and more independent.

This packet also became one of my favorite centers as it was like adding another teacher to my room and helped keep students from reading words wrong.

Please note this packet does not include all high-frequency words. Only words from Fountas and Pinnell's 50 word list. SUGGESTED GRADE LEVEL USE - LATE OR ADVANCED KINDERGARTEN AND EARLY 1ST GRADE.
