Do you read Eric Carle's
story The Very Hungry Caterpillar
It's one of my all time favorite spring books.
With that in mind, I designed these number puzzles
, which are a quick, easy and super-fun
way for your students to practice sequencing numbers
from 1-10, count backwards
from 10-1, as well as skip count by 2s, 3s, 5s & 10s
At the same time they are reviewing the story
, as well as the life cycle of a butterfly
To celebrate spring, I'm pricing these at $4.95 instead of $6.95.
There are 45 different kinds
with over 100
puzzles in all.
Some are vertical
, while others are horizontal
Pick and choose your favorites to make a collection of choices for your students.
Print, laminate & trim the full color
options and use as an independent math center
Use the black & white
ones, so that students can color & cut up their own puzzle.
For an interesting “craftivity” have students glue their puzzle to a sheet of construction paper.
Remind them to leave a little bit of a gap between each numbered strip, to create an especially cool mosaic effect
Completed projects make a cute bulletin board
I'm Diane from Teach With Me, hoping your students enjoy number practice with The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
