This worksheet will help you assess..

Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.

Classify two-dimensional figures in a hierarchy based on properties.

This assessment has 12 questions. The first four questions gives clues of certain shapes and the students must determine what shape is being described.

Question 5 and 6 are a Venn diagram. The students must look at the Venn Diagram and determine the rules used to make it.

Question 8 - 10 are true and false questions regarding triangles and their properties.

Question 11 has the students explain the relationship between a square and a rectangle.

Question 12 is a review question.
