This activity makes math review fun this holiday, teaching facts about the holiday Diwali while reviewing multiplying and dividing decimals. Students perform math problems while learning about a secret subject. The answers to each math problem give students one more clue (fact) about Diwali. After completing their math worksheets, students practice their writing skills with an informational paragraph on their subject. The secret subjects have been chosen specifically for 5th grade, and will reinforce content from multiple disciplines in one activity!!
