This test was created because there are hardly any resources for modeling division. The activities, notes and assessment in this set allows students to be able to use what they know about the base-ten system and try to find out the equations used to make a division model. This set includes:
-Modeling Division Notes Page
I had my students put this into their math journals. We talked about where the divisor, dividend and quotients were and how they can use their prior knowledge to figure the equation out.
-Modeling Division Matching Game w/ Answer Key
After we talked about the many different models, I paired students up to play the model matching game. They were to not figure any of the equations out, but use what they know about the base-ten system to make matches.
-Modeling Division Assessment
This test assesses division vocabulary, models and also includes three 2-digit divisor word problems that deal with how to interpret a remainder. (round-up, round-down or just use remainder)
