Have you found that some students have a hard time learning how to multiply or divide by Powers of Ten when decimals are involved or zeroes have to be added? I have. So I made this math center card game with a hands-on game board to help students learn it in a tactile manner. In addition to this product, you will pipe cleaners, beads, tape, and some dry erase markers to make the game boards for your students. The students begin with 4 random number cards to write on their game board. Then they draw from a variety of cards to multiply or divide by powers of ten. There are directions on how to move the decimal point bead for each card. This game should give the students lots of hands-on practice in the CCSS 5.NBT.A.2 Standard, and hopefully with the manipulative aspect it will make knowledge stick!
