I used this in my fifth grade classroom this year with great success! After studying animal classification (S5L1 in the Georgia Standards), students got into groups and each had a different responsibility/task. I used this as my summative assessment in place of a paper/pencil test.
In a class of 25 students, I formed three groups. Students were able to choose which project they wanted to complete (differentiation through product). They were able to choose:
-Building a 3-D Zoo
-Drawing detailed animals to go in the Zoo
-Making a Zoo map & brochure
-Writing a Zoo newspaper article
-Making an informational Zoo slide show
For each of these projects, a rubric and daily instructions are included. They are each sold separately on my TPT store for $1.50 apiece. When you purchase the bundle for $6.00, you save a total of $1.50.
This bundle includes both a PDF and an editable .doc version of the file.
