This lesson includes:
Step-by-steps instructions for walking students through sharing problems and fractions as division. 3 separate parts included --

Part 2 problems result in mixed numbers.
Part 3 problems result in fractions less than a whole.

Mary made 13 brownies to share with the other teachers. Mary wants to share the brownies between herself and 2 other co-workers, Rachel and Dawn. How many brownies will each person get?
I normally cover these over 3 separate days - we take babysteps.
Also included is a worksheet containing 6 problems along with the answers for the teacher. In addition, a blank worksheet (graphic organizer) that is helpful for the students to use on their own problems
I have provided a few screen print from my SmartBoard of how I setup a few of the problems for the lesson.
