This is 45 page document that is designed to be used as a daily or weekly spiral review of English Language Arts- Language strand in 5th grade. This assessment is based on Common Core Standards. I use this as a weekly spiral review of language concepts. Students recieve the worksheet at the beginning of the week and it is corrected at the end of the week. There is one answer sheet (to be recopied each week) and then 40 individual worksheets of the same format that cover:
*Correctly writing a sentence with commas
*Identifying a conjunction, preposition, and interjection
*Identifying verb tense
*using context clues to analyze unkown words
*Finding prefix, suffix, and root words
*Identifying synonyms and antonyms
*Identifying parts of speech
*Completing analogies
*Correctly writing titles of books, newspapers, and journals
*Analyzing figurative language

This document can be used as homework, morning work, additional practice, center work, or however you see fit! There is not an answer key provided- that is how I am able to sell for a lower price.
